The box a cold nested layout’s final positions lie in before any depth is placed (#427): its root disc,
centred on the origin, for a radius as in NestedLayoutOptions.radius. A transport streaming the
layout posts it as the stream’s first bound, so a fit frames the map from its first paint; each depth’s
onDepth bound lies inside it. O(1).
