Nearest-neighbour spacing of the force model’s equilibrium, √(π·repulsion/centering): 1/d
repulsion balanced by linear centering settles into a uniform disc with this much area per node
(virial estimate — springs only tighten it). Independent of the node count and the viewport, so it
is the natural unit for a seed, the per-tick step cap and the convergence test. 0 when the model
has no equilibrium scale (no repulsion or no centering).
